one road trip at a time.

Princess Peach came from a very overpopulated shelter in Amarillo Texas and due to their high intakes, was out of time. She was shy and starting to shut down due to the noise and lack of enrichment at the shelter when we found her. Thankfully we were able to give her a ride to Oregon where she was adopted and now lives her best life with lots of love and room to run!

Sugar was in a very overcapacity shelter in Tulsa and very scared as most 5 month old puppies are in loud shelters. Time was running out and our Tulsa partners saw what a sweet pup she could be away from the noise. Luckily we were able to give her a ride to Oregon where she was adopted in just 4 days saving her life and changing it forever.

Tenderheart and his litter mate Funshine Bear were just puppies when they entered the already overcapacity shelter in Fresno California. Unfortunately there is also a time limit for puppies before decisions have to be made due to severe pet overpopulation. Our partners saw what sweet boys they both were even after being there for 2 months, and so we were able to get them both on our October transport to Oregon saving them from their demise. Funshine and Tenderheart Bear are now living their best life in their new homes in Oregon.

Humphrey was several days past his deadline date in a very overpopulated shelter just south of Fresno. Amazingly when we checked to see if he was still alive he was still there despite the odds. Being the bestest boy probably helped his case and he was able to get a ride with us to Oregon. He was adopted in less than 24 hours and is now in his happy home.

Eeyore was in a very overpopulated shelter in Fresno and on the euthanasia list due to length of stay and severe overpopulation. He was a very sensitive 90 pound Mastiff mix and dogs that large are frequently passed over for adoption. It took about a month to find the right fit but boy did he find the right fit! Eeyore now lives in Eugene Oregon and has a human all to himself to give all his love and get as many treats and belly rubs as possible in return.

Ava was one of hundreds of tan chihuahuas found in shelters in the California Central Valley at any given time. Despite her friendliness she was on the euthanasia list just because there were so many other chihuahuas that looked just like her. Because of her outstanding personality we were able to get her in with a receiving partner in Oregon and she now shares her shining personality with a family of her own.
